Nov 2004, Dr. Christopher and Dr. Julia Kim founded the
“Asian Educational Cultural Foundation” (AECF),
a non-profit, multi-cultural organization aimed at empowering the
Asian-American community by creating partnerships that transcend
nations and cultures. It offers a new value perspective which is giving
birth to a moral renaissance within the core of Asian culture, thereby
establishing a leading roles in the affairs of the family and
community, as well as economic, social and cultural affairs. As Dr.
Christopher and Dr. Julia Kim have worked for more than 20 years in
Asia, witnessing the extreme difficulty of poverty-stricken people in
Asia, they determined to find solutions towards improving the lifestyle
of those who are suffering. Thus, AECF was born with the mission to
address the problems of poverty and illiteracy in Asia by encouraging
volunteers to participate in worldwide humanitarian activities and aid
in the identification of needs and the distribution of resources. In
August 2005, the name AECF was then changed to
International Cultural And Educational Foundation (ICEF), Inc. |
