ICEF
has begun to be involved in Coral Cultivation in Thai sea recently with the
support of Professor Prasarn Sangpaiboon,
Chairman of Marine Science Activity and Conservation Foundation. Professor Prasarn, who is also the Director of Rajabhat Rambhaibarni University has
invented the nursery for coral grow using PVC pipes and the method has yearned
good result for the past 3 years.
ICEF through cooperation with Professor Prasarn will continue such noble project to save corals in
Thai ocean. The existence of corals is so crucial for the balance of ecology in
the ocean, where the storage of food for mankind is located. Professor Prasarn has put tremendous effort for the past 10 years and
ICEF will offer full support and investment into this project.
Volunteers ranging from children, college
students and tourists are also supporting the effort to preserve the beauty of
the nature. Youth Camps were organised for university students in order to
raise the awareness of importance of coral preservation. They were taught on
cultivating staghorn coral with using PVC pipe at the
Foundation at Chonburi province.
